Our Services
Fields Comprehensive Youth Services (FCYS) is a Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program dedicated to serving male youth and non-minor dependents, ages 13-21. We accept referrals from the Child Welfare and Probation Departments.
At FCYS, our mission is to meet the comprehensive needs of our residents, including their:
- Developmental
- Physical
- Emotional
- Intellectual
- Spiritual needs
Our holistic approach ensures that each resident receives the care and support they need to thrive.
REFERRAL, SCREENING & ASSESSMENT
FCYS accepts youth and non-minor dependents who have been assessed as needing the level of care provided by our Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP). These individuals are evaluated by the Interagency Placement Committee (IPC) and must meet one of the following criteria:

Medical necessity criteria for Medi-Cal; specialty mental health services (SMHS);
Seriously emotionally disturbed

Requiring the level of services provided by FCYS’ STRTP program to meet their behavioral or therapeutic needs
FCYS accepts emergency placements, if the youth or non-minor dependent meets the criteria for an emergency placement into FCYS STRTP, prior to a determination by the Interagency Placement Committee (IPC).
